4. Four universal love languages

Show Notes

Here’s a summary of the four “universal love languages” I talked about in the show.

Support: Whether we support someone financially in a big way like putting them through college, or in a small simple way like offering encouragement, giving support is a great way to show love for others.

Tone: We’ve all heard it’s not what we say but how we say it. As moms, our tone can convey irritation and frustration or create a feeling of peace and calm. in our homes. Being sensitive to our tone of voice is so important to setting the mood and tone we want in our homes.

Attention: Everyone on earth needs attention and we will all seek to get it one way or another. When we give our family members our time and positive attention, it helps them feel loved in a way that almost nothing else can.

Affection: Just like attention, affection is something that everyone wants and needs. How we give that affection will be different depending on the person and the relationship. The important thing is to be intentional about giving affection in a way that is comfortable for your loved ones.
