3. Six ways to create more love at home
Show Notes
Here’s a summary of the 6 ways I share in the episode and some more info from the show:
1-Find ways to make home life more fun. We can intentionally make home life more fun and interesting by trying new things together, creating traditions, and laughing together, just to name a few.
2-You go first. Do unto others what you would have done to you. If you want to be swept off your feet on Valentine’s Day, how can you turn the tables and make it super special for your partner? Instead of waiting for people to read our minds, we can take responsibility for the experience want on holidays or anytime.
3-Know what your people love. Know what your family members love and use what you know to help them feel special and loved by remembering their favorite things on V-day and at other times you want to do something special for them. Bonus points if you learn to love what they love like video games and movies.
4-Love who they love. Decide now to love your kid’s friends and whoever they date and marry. Basically anyone they bring home.
5-Know your family member’s love languages and share yours with them. Knowing how family members feel love gives us more opportunities to connect with them in a way that will be meaningful to them.
6-Think loving thoughts, or in the case of your partner, think romantic thoughts. I’m going to say this every time. Intentionally choosing loving or romantic thoughts is always the best place to start to feel more love for our family members.
